My 9 year old boy is making this noise ,Is this normal ?
He’s not long been to the vets at the cat and rabbit clinic who advised giving him some oats to help put on weight ( due to age related weight loss)
Apart from this he’s fine , eating well , sociable etc

It’s like a heavy breathing noise ... but it’s not all the time ... sorry video didn’t upload

Upload the link to youtube and paste the link in, sorry we dont have the bandwidth to host videos on forum

Has this noise just started since the oats?

I’ve been looking through u tube and. Think my boar has a URI ... he’s not making the sound all the time but it sound like this hooting noise . I’ll get him checked out

Any odd noises like wheezing, clicking or hooting are definitely worth checking out at the vets. Hope all goes well

Merry Christmas everyone.
I got an appointment with my local vet who knows my boys really well.
Izzy is very poorly ... she said he needed antibiotics and also an x Ray . He has an infection on his lungs but she said it’s not as bad as she first thought. So antibiotics for two weeks but bring him back immediately if there was a change . We are going back in two weeks and his noise seems to have gone. He hates the antibiotics but he loves metacam !
So I’m keeping a close eye on him . We are due to go back to the cat and rabbit clinic early jan anyway for his teeth.
Thanks for your help

All the best! Most antibiotics dons't taste nice while metacam has a little honey to help it go down. ;)
