Having had piggies for 9 years I have never heard any of them make a 'chirping' noise. I really thought a bird had got into my room! All the piggies were having a quiet time then Coco started making this noise. Has anyone else's piggies done this ? What is it? !

I don't know but it took 5 years of having piggies for me to hear it! I have no idea what triggered it but the sound was unmistakable. When I rushed to check on them everyone was acting normal.

I've never heard this chirping noise and I've read that it's very uncommon. No one exactly knows why guinea pigs chirp but it is generally considered a sound used to alert other guinea pigs of a danger. Or they may chirp in any situation to show that they are concerned about something.
For example, them hearing a bird (natural predator) outside may trigger them to make this noise.
