Weird red paste coming from her bits

Hi guys,

So Willow today had this weird red gritty paste coming from her bits. In the picture it looks like blood. However, my partner who saw it said it didnt look like blood in real life. She wiped it and it was gone so it didn't keep coming.
Shes had red pepper a few nights running.
Shes eating, toileting normally, behaving normally, not squeaking when weeing, her bits arnt swollen or painful and ive felt all around her stomach she doesnt seem to be in any discomfort not squeaking or anything when I touch her and her bits are now normal colour and normal size.

I do plan on taking her too a vet, but all the vets I know and trust dont work until Monday now. So just looking for advice in the mean time or if I should seek immediate veterinary care, but like I said shes absolutely fine in herself otherwise.

Please see a vet promptly!

It could be rather solid porphyrine coloured sludge - the colour of the red urine that you see at the onset of a cystitis, but it is for a vet to decide whether it is coming from the reproductive or the urinary tract, and to investigate/treat accordingly.

It could be a uti in which case she will need to see a vet ASAP for antibiotics but even if it isn’t a uti, she will still need to see a vet for a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment as it could also be a womb infection. Red pepper wouldn’t cause that around her bits
 
I am going to get her seen by a vet, I just dont wanna have to take her to any old vet that I dont know. Obviously if she was squeaking while peeing or in obvious discomfort I would take her as an emergency but it's just odd that she is showing no other signs of discomfort.

Shes just had a wee and its normal wee colour? Would it not be slightly red if it was cystic?

The colour on there looks red but it was like a purpley/pinky colour.

Cystitis in an infection of the bladder walls; it can be caused by bladder sludge rubbing against them. A mix of clear and coloured pees is typical for the onset of a cystitis.
However, the coloured pees are normally fluid and not as thick as this. Any bleeding from the reproductive tract is always very worrying.

I did notice her calcium deposits had increased a little, perhaps its that.

You may want to have the bladder checked for the presence of sludge. A urine test should indicate whether there are lots of crystals present and your vet can take it from there.
 
Can’t add to the advice but want you to to know that you’re in my thoughts.
Hope to hear positive news when you’ve seen the vet
 
Update:

The vet has prescribed sulfatrim for 7 days and if no better xrays. However, if no better by Friday I'll be taking her back to be seen by my own trusted small animal vet rather than wait out the 7 days :)
