Welcome Baby Nutmeg!

We lost our neutered boar, Dexter a few weeks ago and have been on the look out for a new companion for our sow, Splat. We adopted Nutmeg today from Assisi rescue in Northern Ireland. 8 weeks old and totally adorable, I feel like a new mum all over again. x)

She's in her hidey in a ball of hay. Left bit's of lettuce, cucumber and carrot up with her at various times, they seem to dissapear by the time I'm next in checking on the piggies.

Splat so far seems oblivious to the fact that there is a new comer in the room, though I'm guessing that's cos Nutmeg is being so quiet at present. The rescue tell me she's quite a vocal piggie usually, so I guess once she's settled in we'll see that side of her.... I feel sorry for my daughter who has to share a bedroom with her.

Lol, no not a real dog, it's my tshirt. The real dogs in my house aren't allowed into the room that the piggies are in.
