Just to bring anyone up to speed who may have missed our little saga - Mollie sadly and unexpectedly lost her beloved husboar Mr Ted 2 weeks ago. She was moping and miserable on her own.
We then went on a road trip to Walsall RSPCA to meet 4 of the most handsome and friendly young neutered boars. I loved each of them but Mollie decided she knew best so we came home alone and she went back to being mopey.
So Plan B rolled into action and yesterday we went to the Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue where Mollie had a date with a single baby sow who is between 10 and 12 weeks. Plan B worked a treat and we brought home little Mabel with us. So far so good. No teeth chattering or rumbling or aggression - Mollie is just asserting her dominance at the moment so there is lots of chasing and squealing from Mabel but no nipping or biting.
Apologies for the state of their cage - not been tidying so as not to upset baby Mabel. It's been 16 years since I had a baby piggy in my house and she looks so tiny compared to Mollie at the moment. And she's so fast. Today after cuddles she went back in her cage and popcorned so I think she's settling in just fine.

Hello teeny Mabel:love:! She looks lovely and great news for Mollie. I have a soft spot for beigey gingery crested piggies (probably not the official description;)) after my little Thorn. Hope the bonding goes well.

Hello Mabel! (Yay you have a Mabel too now!) She's so tiny and cute. Glad things are going well.

Aww I hope bonding continues to go well. They're a cute pair!

It's funny because for the last 3 years I've walked in to the piggy room and said "good morning (or good evening) lady pigs and gentlepig". Since Mr Ted's been gone it's just been "ladypigs" and it's going to be "ladypigs" moving forward. But at least Molie is livelier and happier.

That is great news after a difficult time you have had.hope the bonding goes well.young piggies can bring a juvenated outlook to older piggies.:).

There has been less chasing this afternoon and more popcorning from both of them. I'm hopeful that this will be a happy pairing.

Sounds like a lovely match :) Aw I'm really pleased that she has her bounce back. Mabel is beautiful x

What a little cutie! Glad that plan B has worked out! Mabel is such a little cutie!

Here is to plan Bs!
