After my stepdad killed my previous Siamese fighter fish, I now have a new one.

I don't know what to call him, my friend suggested Crash Bandicoot as he is sorta a bit orange.

So here he is.

Lol, my fish who died recently was actually called Mr Fish xD
He's very elegant! Have fun naming.

oooohhhh he is beautiful....I love fighters I have about 12....is he a dalmation? when he flares does he have splodges on his fins?

He is very pretty! I have a fighter called 'Bluey' (i bet you can't guess what colour he is!) Actually he is really my mom's she has a tropical community tank and i have a fancy goldfish tank :) Its sad but we might have to give him back to the pet shop that we got him from as he has killed five of our other fish!
As for names for your beautiful Betta;
Tango
Flare
Ginger

Sorry they're not very good but i hope they gave you some ideas :)

I don't know what breed he is as I am not too good on the different types, He is just all red/orange colour,
He doesn't fully flare up but he does not clamp up his fins. The tank is fully cycled as I took some biomedia from my current community tank and put a couple of guppies in to keep the bacteria going. No ammonia, nitrite and little nitrate after being set up for a month.

Once he has gotten used to me I hope he will flare up and take blood worms from the tweezers like my previous one did.

He is a veil tail and a very gorgeous one at that! I have had 3 Siamese fighting fish but currently dont have any as I have to tidy my room before I can replace my one who just died!

It does actually do them good to flare...if you hold a mirror near the tank he will probably tell himself off! I have some beauties...hold on....

Beautiful! I find them really difficult to find in England. I can only find them in pets at home(which I will not buy them from as they keep them in with other fish and all their fins get bitten off) or Swallows Aquatics where I have bought 2 out of the 3 I have kept.
I don't know why but I think your fish dizzydinosaur looks like a Clive to me!:)) don't ask me why!

:D He sorta does look like a Clive :P My previous one was called Troy.

My local independent store is sort of cutting down its stock of them as they do not sell as quickly as there other fish, Its most likely to where they have them and the lighting is not very good on them, tanks not filtered and the tanks are not heated :(
@suem
Mine looks like the second one but with one colour instead of 2. He doesnt seem in the best shape compared to yours so hopefully should sort itself out now he is in a filtered tank which is fully cycled, Silk plants (Real plants always die on me) and its heated. plus its 30L instead of the 1.5 litre tank he originally had.

Wow! He lives the life of luxury! If you feed him live/freeze dried bloodworms once or twice a week( not too many-constipation) he should start to look really healthy-mine loved them!

This is his tank, Sits on my desk :P

A couple of guppy fry have seemed to have appeared from somewhere, I have enough of them so free food for him :P

that is so funny about the fry..I had some mollies in a tank and they never seemed to have babies, They had a fighter in there with them. When the fighter died I didnt replace him. A few weeks ago I thought I will put a docile girly fighter in there. The little madam gobbled up a baby within a second of arriving. I soon whisked her back out! and she didnt have any dinner that day!mallethead

The girls at work named him Mungo
lol. he has moved in to the office at work now.

WELCOME MUNGO XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

as in Mungo Jerry? oooh this shows my age eh :(|)

Yes, LOL!

xD Betty the betta fish. I had a female hamster called Gus when I was little.
