Hi all,
Yesterday we adopted two unwanted piggies from a family that had bought them from Pets at Home for the children, and quickly realised they couldn't deal with them - they are quite underweight for their age (5 months) and had obviously not been fed or watered enough. The family didn't really seem to care much for them - they had bought them as babies when they looked all young and "cute" and now they've grown the children said they didn't want them. The vets we go to that has a shop attached to it were looking for experienced cavvy owners so we got in touch and picked them up yesterday.
Their names are Scruffy (brown) and Snoopy (black and white). They are both quite shy and scared but are slowly getting used to the surroundings. I'm talking to them all the time so they get used to my voice.
Scruffy seems to have a preoccupation with chewing bars which I know is a sign of frustration but I'm a bit wary of letting him out in the living room as I know he is very scatty but am hoping to let him have a run around on Sunday.
We already have two boars and a massive C&C cage which we have separated. We are going to slowly introduce them but are aware that 4 boars together may not work, which is why we've just placed an order for more grids.
