Top left to right: We adopted George, and his Mama, Peppa. Introductions began with my bonded sows, Bertha and Oreo on bottom. Gotta keep George separate for now. The two new piggies were adopted because prior owner no longer wanted. They are sweet but timid. Just like Oreo and Bertha where a while back. George will have to get "fixed". Kinda of risky for a pig, but it is his path to a happy life of lettuce and companionship with sows.

Hi and welcome

All the best for creating your own herd!

Please be aware that two adult leading ladies may not be able to agree as to which of them should come top. There is no surefire bonding method as it all comes down to the personalities involved, the unique dynamics between them and whether they can come to agreement or not.
It also takes a 6 weeks post-op neutering wait until a boar is safe to go with the ladies; a boar usually needs to be 4-6 months for the snip. In the current situation a neutering operation will be classed as elective surgery that has to wait until the pandemic is over enough for any services to go back to normal again.

Here is our comprehensive bonding and neutering advice which you may find helpful and interesting.

Congratulations on building a herd.
The piggies are gorgeous and a herd is a real joy.
The actual bonding can be a bit stressful but watching herd dynamics is great fun
