Welcome Ffwlbri (spoken: full-bree) and Tesni! Ffwlbri is "moonshine" in Welsh and Tesni is a girls name that means "warmed" (by the sun).

I made a train trip into Midwales yesterday (There is a direct train from Birmingham!) to pick up the two little peru girls from All About The Animals rescue, where they have been for over four months without even one offer! They are about seven months old now and came into rescue together, totally matted and nervous in an unsuitable rat cage.

They have been pulling my heartstrings ever since I saw the first pics of them with Claire's rescue herd at the end of July... I had offered Claire that I would take them on in the unlikely case they were still with her by October (which is the earliest I could have rehomed them); sadly, this has come to pass. Tesni looks eerily like a young version our very first family piggy Wuschel and Ffwlbri could be Ffowlyn's little sister!

This is their thread on TGPF - some of you may remember it! It has currently better pics of the two girls than any of mine on the first two pages; the girls are still too skittish around humans for me to get good pics yet. http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=73095

Here they are settling in (please click on the picture to start the clip); they were out and about nibbling, exploring and meeting the neighbours within a quarter of an hour of their arrival despite the long trip!

This morning, they have already shared breakfast with the Tribe (Tesni on the left of the pen and Ffwlbri on the right)

I don't expect any trouble at all; there have been no negative signs from any piggiy so far!

I can't believe they were still there! They are such a gorgeous pair. I'm glad you've taken them on now and they'll be in a home where they will be loved.

It makes me sad to see such beautiful piggies left in a rescue for so long.
I had hoped to rescue some boys from clare but had to step back as my OH wasn't keen on more piggies. I hope they aren't still with her. I only got my wish to have more piggies cos Hamish had problems so she agreed to me taking him on.

That's brilliant. My Rosie needs to take some lessons from your girls :))

What excellent news!

We need some lessons as next week have a 5 year old girl coming to rescue that i wont be rehoming as she needs a retirement home. Going to be bondng with the big group here and not done that for a while - tips please!

Your newbies are just so cute.

With older girls, I usually take it slowly and give them plenty of time to get their bearings and meet the new friends through mesh before introducing. I basically wait for them to give the "go ahead" signal. If the new girl was the undergirl, you shouldn't have a problem, but if she's been dominant or on her own for some time you may have.

Awww! Such gorgeous girls! Cannot believe they were still in the rescue. They are very lucky to be in such a special new home. Loved the pictures.
Cant wait to see and hear more about these girls x

I couldn't believe it either when Claire contacted me at the end of September! They are both so gorgeous and cute! :{

Yey! I fell in love with these two and am soo excited that they have come to you and I can still see them!
Lucky piggies!

xx

Am gutted - i posted a few times about these girls and the fact my daughter had fallen in love with dolly - my only problem was i couldn't take both girls as i only had a 5ft x 2.5ft cage (which was already taken by Wexford and his girlfriend) - i must admit dolly did steal my heart and i posted about the fact i'd have had her in a heartbeat x)x)

I am glad they found a great home :)

The two girls are very close (sisters?) and they remained so even when they were living with the rescue herd. Wexford and Ffwlbri would have made a stunning pair indeed!

Glad they've gone to such a good home! They look like they fit right in with the rest of the tribe!

One day, when I'm all growed up, I'm going to have an army of piggies too!

Awwwwwwww just beautiful and lucky pigs indeed to have a home with you :)

I had to wait years and years to make my own dream come true; but it makes it extra special and you appreciate it so much more! I also learned a lot in the meantime, so it wasn't simply wasted time.

I thought you were fostering them as they were on their way elsewhere....mallethead
Congrats! they're lovely.xoxo

Have to admit that I keep sneaking back to have a peek at them! Looked back at their thread and giggling - you got them in the end! They are sooo lovely x)x)x) (although Caron I still love you too!)

xx

Caron seems to have a VERY soft spot for Tesni! x) They look stunning together! Intros are tomorrow; today was settling in day.

PS Does the extra piggies mean that if I came tribe napping and took Caron you wouldn't notice?! :))

No chance - failsafe wheeker alarm in operation in this house!

Be warned, anyone who leaves this house has to pass the dinner call - and if there are wheeks coming from inappropriate pockets or bags, that person will be searched and never be invited back again! :(|)

PS: This was Caron saying hello to Tesni!
