Eliza had it tough last year and since her eye removal last September, she has had nothing but problems with it especially since her new thing is scratching the area and making it bleed :( She is back under the vets care and is back there tomorrow.

Eliza is 6.5 years old and after losing her group of friends and then losing her eye and getting that awful infection etc she went down to 900g.

At Christmas, she went awfully skinny although a vets visit revealed she hadn't lost weight, I was told older piggies can lose their bulkiness but she was perfectly healthy.

Eliza has somehow regained her bulk and at today's weigh in, she now weighs 990g

This may seem really irrevelvent to some, she is such a worry but I am so proud of her.

Just look at that fatty bum bum

Well done beautiful Eliza! I as i am sure many others on the forum have been rooting for your little one through all her illnesses and problems. Hope she continues to keep her weight up and will stop scratching at her eye wound. Lots of love to your special girl x

Thank you. She is such a worry and I really do not see how the wound will heal :( It gets to the point where it dries up but then she scratches it open again.

But I am pleased she has gained weight :)

This is fantastic Claire! Your wonderful care has ensured Eliza is healthy. She is as beautiful as ever.

(Wonderful bumshot :) ) .... that's great news Claire, I know how hard you've worked with Eliza, and I'm really pleased she's nicely rounded again.

I can sympathise. Both Rosie and Maggie have been lighter than usual since illness last year and have finally got closer to their normal weight. Keep up the good work lovely Eliza.
