And I'm about to start my C&C building....

Let's see how long this takes!

Yeah me too - started mine this morning, got the main outside done and left it until tomorrow to cut the corex stuff (that may take longer than a day). Adding the next level will be the next day. Adding the rest ... well it may take me some time, but hey I hope it will be a good one for them :) I'm not a fast worker, but I do want it to be right - I'm too much of a perfectionist :{

Looking forward to seeing yours done Amanda :)

Jo

I've done it.... finished at 8.15pm!

I'm not very happy with it though :( They aren't grids, so putting the water bottle in has been impossible. It'll do for now (it's ok size wise) but I don't like it. I think I'll shell out at the end of the month for some proper grids (which is what the photo showed!) and try again!

Photos to follow!

I'm sure it looks great. And the piggies will love it.

For the water bottle, you could cut the hole in the end of an old sock and put the bottle in, then use clothes pegs to attach it to the side of the cage. I would imagine a corner would be good to stop it swinging about. :)

ugh

for some reason, it not being as I hoped has put me on a downward spiral :(

I don't even know why....

Little Dave has worked out the cosy pouch thing :))

Awww Little Dave x)

Keep trying with the cages though. I keep changing them, again and again and still can't get them right rolleyes:{ You're doing well if you got your piggies in :)

do you have a pic of the grids?

They look rather posh actually but i see what you mean about the bottle and they are not as versatile as the storage cube's, morrisons do bottle's with the wire on the top so they hang over, bless you i bet your well stressed the amount of time's my cage hasn't gone my way mallethead, makes me mad just thinking about them lol still your piggies are in and exploring and will just have to wait a bit longer and I'm sure they will enjoy the adventure

If they're not what you ordered I'd put a complaint in, say you had to use them because you were desperate and they were late as it was, but they're not as described, ask for a partual refund. How did you pay? If it was paypal you could do it via them ;)

I've come up with quite an elaborate cube system! it's a glass bottle, with a ridge in, so I've used that to suspend it :)

I got them from Amazon. I'm going to email them though...

That looks really good :)

Do you have a link for the grids they would be perfect for the cage I want to make :))

Ah Amanda, it looks good! Sure the pigs are enjoying it and are happy of the extra space! :))

In the link they are the one's you ordered but not the one's you needed i looked at them when i was trying to buy grid's, i think they look much nicer than mine, and as long as they dont eat their way through it i think they will do the job just as well as metal grid's

The photo has changed since I ordered them, they must have changed stock!

oh well i'd be pretty p****d to then and deffo get a refund if your not happy

I don't feel so bad this morning. To tell the truth, I didn't take my antidepressants for like 3 weeks, and have recently gone back on them, so I'm a bit all over the place emotionally at the moment! rolleyes

Oh you cant stop taking them just like that, but then i spose its depressive taking them everyday so catch 22, atleast you got happy piggie's now and i really think it looks better more "guinea pig room" and less "guinea pig cage"

I bought these and ended up using them for my shoes, which are now very organised!lol But I really wanted the metal grid ones which are also much bigger. However your piggies look very happy in there with the space, well done you for designing it. P.s keep taking the tabs noone judges anyone who needs them. It is no different than being diabetic or something similar it isjust that you body is short of serotin hormone and so requires this type of meds. go snuggle your piggies and be proud of your construction.x

Ive been on them for like 3 years...reducing the dose now which is good lol I'm just crap at taking stuff regularly! I've been moving around a lot while between houses, which has messed up my routine of taking them. I'm very resistant to medication and withdrawals so it took me 3 weeks to realise I hadn't taken them and I only realised because I was dizzy! I'm supposed to take several things daily and I normally take them like twice a week... rolleyes
