We'll miss you Magic

Some of you may already know that for the last month our little boy had stopped eating and nobody could find out why. Even last saturday when we took him to see Simon he said he was the picture of health. But this week he had rapidly deteriorated and had started to not enjoy the syringe feeding anymore. Yesterday was when we knew we had to take him to the vets to be put to sleep as he started to suffer for the first time. Me and mum were so upset, and still are, but we know we did the best for him. He was only 3years old which made it so much harder to accept, and are so confused as to what made him ill in the first place.
Well Magic, we will miss you greatly little boy and will always love you, hope you have fun in piggie heaven x>>

Hope Snowball and Magic have met at the Bridge and are playing happily together - run free sweet boys. Your mummies will see the star you're sharing shining in the sky and know you're both safe x>>
 
So sorry to hear this..Its so hard saying goodbye but when the tears dry you will find comfort in all the happy memories you have of this special piggie....

These little guys are so complex. When I met Magic last weekend he did look in perfect health, apart from not eating. You just feel so helpless when nothing can be found.

It was lovely meeting your mum and I have told her we must keep in touch x

Its so hard isnt it when you dont know why it happened.
The sadness is very heavy in my heart still today and reading the rainbow bridge threads makes my tears fall but I take comfort in the fact that the suffering has ended.
 
I'm so sorry sweetheart, Magic will have known how loved he was and he was better off for having you take care of him for his little life.

We're also so sorry for your loss too, both gone too soon! We too have the same feeling and we feel like we have failed him. But in the end we both know we did all we could and sometimes it's just the way things go but yes it is a comfort knowing that they are not suffering any more and are in a better place. I'm sure they are happy together running round over the bridge x

Yeah we'd love to stay in touch, it was so nice that you came along to see Magic, still looking bright and healthy. It's nice to know that something good has come out of all this, we've gained a lovely friend :)

Today I received a sympathy card from my vet. There is a picture of a guinea pig and a rabbit on the front and along with the printed message there is a hand written message "In sympathy for the loss of Magic." Also there is a packet of wild flower seeds for his grave. I thought what a kind gesture.
