Louise's Zoo
Adult Guinea Pig
Baby Ellie is nearly 5 weeks old. She's grown loads and I was pretty sure she was now too big to get through the C&C grid gaps.. I even held her in front of the grids, let her try to get through the gaps and there was no way she was going to fit.
I decided to remove the mesh I had put up and lower the correx around the front of the cages. They look great. Very happy.
This evening I went to feed all the girls their pellets. I was met with the usual chorus of squeaks and as I placed 2 bowls into Eileen and Edna's cage, who should also come running over? ELLIE! She was in their cage!
Firstly, thank goodness Edna and Eileen hadn't decided to have a go at her. Secondly, I am so glad that she escaped into their cage and not out one of the other sides, falling to the floor.
As I tried to catch her she ran straight back into her's and Eva's cage and ran straight through one of the grid squares like it wasn't even there!
Her and Eva are now back in the commercial cage until Ellie gets too big to pull another escape attempt.
Here is the little explorer.
