Today is the day we decided it was time to seperate Joey form mum and rest of the family, he has been 'humping' everyone since he was a week old and the past few nights has caused a few heated arguments as a result. So he is now in his new cage indoors and the girls are back outside in the hutch. He hasnt stopped crying and i am not liking it at all feels awful :( We put him a teddy in for something to snuggle up to and we rubbed it on mum so it smells like her.

Heres poor Joey with Eeyore :(

AWWW - poor Joey!

I know myself how heartbreaking it is to stay firm against the anguish of a lonely piggy!

PS: He is certainly a well fed, healthy youngster!

Yes hes a little pudding :) Its awful hearing him call mum not that she cared one bit! I decided to put the girls back out as that way he cant hear them and he has calmed down a little. Going to text Vedra and see at what age/weight i can have him neutered so he can eventually go back with his family.

He's so gorgeous. Hopefully he'll settle soon. Must be hard. I'm sure you'll give him lots of cuddles though. x

He is so cute x) Claire is right you have definalty done the right thing separating him from the girls. :)

Awww he's a little cutie! x) I know how hard it is separating pigs, but i'll be worth it in the end x

Poor chap but yay he's having the snip and his family back. That's great news good for you.

Awww what a sweetie! I'm sure he'll enjoy some time on his own getting plenty of tlc, huggles and treaties! :D

he seems to have settled down alot now not crying at all and hes had lots of cuddles from me and OH. Hopefully he stays happy throughout the night and doesnt have me up lol.

Miss the girls being indoors too :(

i spoke to soon he has started crying again :( he sounds so distressed its horrible. Is there anything else i can do to help him settle?

Poor little one, he is a real cutie. When I separate, if I have to have a little boar on his own, I usually give him a very small box lined with fleece (Gourmet Cat Food box, is perfect), then he can still feel all snuggly. I give them some freshly cut grass or a few more little veggie treats as well, not enough to give them the runs obviously, but it's amazing how quickly they can come round at the sight of food. xx

Oh my goodness. He is the most adorable sweet little boy. In a weeks' time he'll have forgotten his mummy and be intent on mating with his sisters and any other female he can smell! rolleyes:))

I have to agree with everyone who's commented on how gorgeous he is. He really is stunningly cute!

It'll all be worth it in the end :)

Well little Joey is now a happy little pig again and were hoping to find him a bigger cage as his temp one is too small for him. Cannot wait for him to be able to go back with his family though although i have got a long wait!
