Today was the day where the little ones met the big ones. We let Jessica and Amelie have a run in the hall while we trimmed Gertie and Johnny's claws and gave them a fuss and then the introductions were made in the hall.

All seems ok, Johnny as expected is trying to mount them and Gertie is ok with them but will turf them out of anything she wants to go in. Now all are running round the living room in and out of the lttle one's run and Gertie and Johnny's cage. Unfortunately the large Trixie Trun has not arrived yet.

Here are some pics:

More to follow ....

They are all gorgeous and it sounds like it is all going to plan - dominant sow throwing her weight around is what you expect, as is a randy boar in a candy shop full of tempting girlies! rolleyes

Gertie won't be worried about the youngsters who are in no position to challenge for top spot and will accept them, but she will make it clear that they are here by her sufferance. Expect some "bullying" from her - it is perfectly normal behaviour. Johnny should calm down again, but the first few seasons will be rather more lively than later on.

I love her feet too.

We have blocked the room off with C & C grids and Jessica just found the one weak spot, managed to get her out and block it off thank god. Need to but another pack of grids tomorrow though to block the kitchen and living room doors when we are out.

Another pic, from dinner time. Jess bless her took a while to come over and struggled a bit as Gert kept trying to be dominat but she got food which was good. Amelie on the other hand is completely fearless.

Looks very promising! You always get a shy one and a bold one!

Aww they are so small, glad everything went well and they enjoyed meeting one another. Gorgeous guineas! :)
