Where anyones piggies bothered by the thunder last night?

We have one massive clap, that you heard the crack of at the end of the rumble and even Meggy jumped and ran off... The girls were quite scared too, Cookie even shared her sticks with Sassy :))

Nope! Marley briefly picked his head up from his pile of hay, realised he wasn't in any immediate danger and carried on munching. Frankie snoozed right through it!

Naturally I didn't get that same thunder over here, but we get some good ones regularly. Unlike the dog who is scared silly, the piggy boys just carry on like nothing is happening. My boys are more frightened by the telephone ringing (even if it's just on the telly) or the squeaky garden gate than any thunder.

I like his style...

What is it about telephones that annoys them so much! Ours are the same

We had a massive storm last week and a few houses were struck with lightening near me, I checked on the boys as the worst of it hit at 3am and they was all snoozing, tucked up in their sacks and beds, think I upset them more putting the light on :))

Ours are to used to tv and hub DIYing, so thunder, lightning and fireworks don't seem to bother them unduly!

Mine weren't at all bothered by the thunder - they're also pretty unfazed by the vacuum cleaner (guess they've had to get used to it!), neither have they minded the odd spot of drilling (just looked up to see what it was and carried on with the all important business of filling their tummies!) - agree with others that the telephone upsets them though! Makes them go "Drrrrrrrr"! When I'm actually speaking to someone on the phone, they don't mind if it's a voice they recognise, (mainly my mum!), but don't like an unfamiliar voice.

Gosh, actually struck?! That must have been pretty hairy!

Lol at the lights, pitch and putt used to glare at us a night when we came down for the toilet and turned the lights on!

Keys jangling make them displeased also! And I am banned form tapping or whistling in front of them, it does not amuse them at all...

Oh, good to know it seems to be universal! I just though it was my two. One night we were watching telly with the boys on laps and one of the ads had a telephone ringing in it and as the ad appeared every ad break, I got annoyed with it frightening the boys, so put it on record to watch at a later time where I could fast forward past the annoying telephone ringing.

Yes, mine hated it ... but as not as much they hate their nemesis - the doorbell!

That one big crack of thunder the other day was enough to make them all look up from munching but that was about all! Hamish just looked amazed because he could hear what was happening for once!
