Went to SSPCA in Glasgow today, and saw a few piggies. They might or might not still be there when we go back after Christmas to pick two up. My daughter Laura was asked if she wanted to name the white rabbit that they had recently received - which she was delighted about. She opted for, perhaps unsurprisingly, for "Snowie". She was also asked to name two recent GP arrivals, but she couldn't think of anything "Christmassy"...

So probably Boxing Day or day after we shall take a trip back to *fingers crossed* meet our new pets.

They told us we will need to bring our own carrier, so I need to ask for recommendations. I saw one on Amazon, but reviews say it's great aside from a fiddly clip handle. I don't want to embarrass myself by not being able to open or close the thin in the middle of the SSPCA! I'm thinking best to get two just in case we end up with older (and hence, bigger) piggies which means one each.

All comments welcomed! Getting rather excited myself now. Watching videos on YouTube hasn't put her off yet!

I've got a generic plastic cat carrier - plenty big enough for two piggies. Even my chunky rabbit can move around a bit in it and she's bigger than any cat I've come across :))

I have this carrier. It is lightweight and easy to open.

Think we'll go for this one

The smaller one doesn't look like it would hold two.

I got a medium cat carrier from Wilkinsons which was only about £12 and just as good as the more expensive ones. I'd suggest getting one big enough for two as they'll be happier travelling together on vet trips etc for moral support.
It's just like this one [ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Savic-Trotter-Carrier-Atlantic-light/dp/B003Y3UKD2/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1324167354&sr=1-1[/ame]

I find anything smaller a bit of a squash for two chunky piggies!

Ewww I've got this one and I really like it. Not sure what size I have but fitting two in is definatly a squeeze so I normally just have one in there. Cat carriers are quite good though, give plenty of space and the normal security needed to keep a cat in.
