Adult Guinea Pig
Hi i am new to this forum and was wondering if any body has had a similar experience. I have a sheltie sow called Pinkie she has gone through a tough time lately, she started with a wet bottom about two months ago, so we took her to a cavy savy vet, she told us that Pinkie had ovarian cysts, so she was operated on and the cysts were removed. Anyway we thought the problem would go away after this, apparently not, so we had an xray done an the xray showed a stone in her urethra, after a week of trying to coax out the stone by manipulation she ended up back at the vets under anestetic and had the stone removed by force, poor thing. i dont understand why the wet bottom still persists though, she is losing her hair and will start to get sores if i can't resolve this, would anybody have any ideas cos i am at i loss now.
