Wet bottom

Our oldest piggie is 5.5 months old I just noticed today that the very bottom of her backside is wet. Her hair still seems pretty short. Does it need to be cut?

As a long haired piggy we would recommend hair is always kept short around the bottom and back legs but you are right it doesn’t look overly long to be honest.

A wet back end can be because they’ve sat in pee or in a water bowl but it is something to keep an eye on. This is because a consistently wet back end ( other symptoms such as squeaking when peeing may also be present) can be a sign of a urinary infection
