Wet Bum

Sorry for the title but I couldn't describe it any other way :{
Gerty, my 11 month old sow has been getting a wet bum recently - I change their fleece regularly & always make sure it isn't wet in between so I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. Is it that she is just weeing where she sits or something more sinister? Any ideas would be much appreciated xx

Could be a UTI or could just simply be sitting in the urine. Does it smell at all? Maybe get some cranberry and put pig on a towel to see if any blood is past.

I had this the other week, felt it was Goldmoon she was quite smelly and wet underneath gave her cranberry and she seems ok now. Sometimes they don't drink enough so if you suspect a minor URI syringe extra fluids to flush the kidneys.

A trip to the vet may put your mind at rest though as antibiotics may be needed if it is an infection.

Thanks Louise - it doesn't smell & I've been checking for blood - which there isn't. I'll try the cranberry etc & see how she goes over the next day or so xx
