I know I can't put my piggies out in wet grass but can I feed them grass from the garden if it's wet with rain? Probably the most stupid question ever 🙄

That is okay, normally you cant out them on wet grass as it makes their fur wet and if it is cold the night/day they can get very cold and it isn't good for them, as long as you wash the grass you can feed it anytime and however wet or dry it is.

Thank you, that's good to know. I thought it would be okay but thought it best to check.
I can't come in the house without a handful of grass anymore, the piggies have sussed out the sound of the front door and I get shouted at until I bring offerings lol.
Was wondering what i would do if it was a wet day!

No such thing as a stupid question!
If I’ve picked wet grass, then I tend to just lay it on some kitchen towel while I’m picking it but it doesn’t really matter if it is wet

I always have to wash my grass incase a cat has peed on it... we get a few in our garden... I just rinse it and pop onto kitchen roll... until it's time for dinner

Ive just put my 2 indoor piggies outside in there hutch the last 2 weeks thinking it would be warm but typically its been bloody raining, but they seem ok and are covered at night & have a warming pad. Today i left the door open for them to go out into the run which is pretty much covered but it does leak a bit and it did rain lots today, they didn't seem to care they still ran around on the wet grass in and out by there choice! they were only little wet on top a bit on some long bits of fur and a bit underneath obviously, is this ok? I'm now thinking do i need to bring them in for tonight to stay dry and warm? what do you think? thanks

I would say, don't put them out on wet grass. they might not seem to mind but it can cause - correct me if i am wrong - UTI?

:wel:
If it’s raining or has been raining then my two stay in their shed. their bodies are close to the ground and being on damp grass isn’t good for them

Yes I checked them they dried ok as the grass was very short but will be careful next time
