Hi All,

I was cutting Pebbles nails yesterday (Which she really doesn't like so think she was a bit stressed) when i noticed her nose was wet and some liquid dripped from it.

The liquid coming from her nose was clear- just looked like water but was definitely coming from her nose, she doesn't sound wheezy but does sneeze occasionally- but she has always had her sneezes since i had her.

This concerned me so i checked GuineaLynx- it mentions about any crustiness (There is no crust around her nose) being a problem on noses but nothing about it being wet so didn't know if this was a problem or what i should look out for in case it gets worse?

Just to add that when i checked on her later on her nose wasn't wet and didn't seem to be dribbling like before.

She is fine in herself- happily eating veg and hay and pooping fine and running around.

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

Hi Jacky,

It doesn't sound like it was running per se, just moist. My initial thought is that something was irritating her nose on a short-term basis - could have been a bit of dust or bit of hay up her nose, or even something like perfume (if you wear any)!

If it's cleared up and she's otherwise fine, I'd be inclined to just think about whether there's anything that could have irritated her nose at all, and look out for any further signs of a moist nose.

Thanks both :)

I was half worried, i keep a close eye on them both as i'm aware that piggies are good at hiding their illnesses so it's on us owners to spot any changes.

I had just finished brushing her hair and some of her loose fur ends up on her face so i suppose it could have been that (Shes a long haired piggie so has alot of fur)

She was also quite angry with me at the time for trimming her nails, started biting and pulling at the towel while i was doing it but soon calmed down as she loves to be brushed- so i'm hoping she's forgiven me :(|)

I'll check her over again tonight along with poppy and report back tommorow :)

Oh and just thought- i do wear perfume so i'll keep an eye on whether she sneezes more when i'm around her or not.
