I've noticed the last few days my piggie feels wet underneth when I pick him up :-\ .. My husband seems to think hes lying in his wee in his little house, do you think this is it ?Hes a long haired really curly fluffy little man ..

Mine gets the same thing around his rear end- its because when they pee it goes all over their fur. Keep the fur tidy and if its bothering him or you then do what I do and take him to the vet to get regualr trims around his rear.

How old is the piggy?.If he is elderly,it could be incontinence.
As has already been suggested, trim the hair round the rear end so that it does not drag on the floor or into puddles or urine. There is no need to go to a vet you can do this yourself.
Some piggies do get messy round the rear anyway,I have 2 boars that do and they are not long haired.I wash the rear end every few days when necessary, there is no need to give a full bath.,but a bath in one of GGs shampoos every 5 or 6 weeks is a good idea anyway.
It could be a urninary infection, but there are normally other symptoms with this.

i posted about the same thing recently, maisy was wet underneath, but she is really lazy and spends alot of time in her pigloo, she wees and sits in it most of the day, after a bath she was fine, i just clean out the igloo regularly. it may not be as simple as being a lazy piggie though,

Could be a few reasons maybe because of the length of his hair or maybe his bedding is wet - How often do you clean him out ? and maybe he has something wrong with himself. O0

I have a trio that all live together and Hamish is a mucky liitle madame and always lies in her wee. The other two are not like it sounds to me like you have a mucky piggy on your hands not lack of cleaning out :)

Pretty much all of my piggies like to lie in their own wee - probably because its nice and warm ::)

Zac is living indoors now and I'm finding he's not feeling wet underneath anymore. I've started changing their cage everyday and I've added more vetbed to absorb the wee..

Aaaaawwww! :smitten: he is gorgeous and i love the name :) glad he's doing better and it wasn't serious :) xxxxx
