As you know I rehomed 4 guinea pigs, 1 boy Romeo and 3 girls Kiwi, Mango and Peaches, the girls are highly likely to be pregnant as they ran with the boys... The girls were so skinny, with thinning hair, infact Peaches was really bad, bald belly and bones sticking out... I put pics of them on last week, but here they are today, on a good diet, warm clean bed, exercise and love. Yes I still think they are pregnant and am treating as such, but at least they are gaining condition now!;)

Wow! This really made my day! :))
I've been constantly thinkin of the 3girls over the last week.
I am so happy you posted about their progress.

Oh WOW! What a change!

I must admit that I had my doubts whether poor little Peaches would be able to make it; she was sooo thin and in such a state. You have truly worked wonders!

Wow you've done a fantastic job, they are in the best possible care now :) Did the vet confirm if they were all pregnant? x

This has really made my day too - wonderful news that they are all doing so well. They look so much better in themselves.

Awwwww what a lovely story and news, they all look much better and happier! :)

This has put a huge smile on my face :) Its amazing how much they have improved. My son has just looked over and saw the original pictures and was very shocked someone can treat them like it but very happy and pleased that people come and save them and look after them. :)

Thanks for sharing the new pics - they all look to be thriving under your loving care - so well done! I'm so glad to see Peaches looking so well. Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well with their pregnancies.

Thankyou all, I am so proud of my darling girls and Romeo! Kiwi now takes food from my hand, :(|) They all eat infront of me, whereas before they would wait til I was out the room... they are still drinking alot, but not so clingy to the bottle, they love the hay and food though! I haven't gone to the vet with them as they are handshy still, they don't mind me, but I am scared they will take fright in the vets... but I have spoken to the vets and vet nurse who keeps piggies as well, they have said to do what I am doing, treating them as pregnant, feeding extras, and obviously to bring them along if there are any problems... Amazingly, there are no skin issues, no mites or lice which is so surprising, but the vet thinks the hair loss was malnutrition and dehydration. He isn't sure they will have healthy babies, but they have a good chance now to survive the births...
I will keep you all updated!;)
