Is there a minimum age you can put guineapigs out in a run in the garden?

I have an adult and a baby guinea pig and I was wondering if it was okay for him to go outside in the run yet?

he is around 4 or 5 weeks old thanks:))

Little ones day out...

Hi,

My little ones go out and they are only a few weeks old. But their hutch is attached to run so could go in if wanted to. They do enjoy chewing the grass. I can't see that it does them any harm. As long as run is secure and sheltered.

Cant see any probs with him going out now. I had my bubs out at 1 week. But just make sure you limit grass time for a little while. His tummy wont be used to grass and too much might upset it.

x.

I'd say just make sure he has somewhere sheltered and dry with lots of hay, to hide in. And make sure it's not too cold out and don't leave him out too long, cos he won't be used to it if he;s an indoor piggy :)
