:tickedoff: I just read an awful story about an awful man who was on drugs. His daughter had a guinea pig and he thought that it had bar codes in its teeth and a camera in its head so that the government could spy on him. So, he starved it and then killed it and dissected it to make sure. He ONLY got 50 days in jail, 3 years probation, and has to undergo counseling. That is so wrong, he need a lot more help and punishment than that. People make me sick :tickedoff:

......... i guess when there is something that you can't understand... that just doesnt make sense why someone would do something awful... the answer is always drugs. You wonder if they would even contemplate doing something like this, if it wasn't for the drugs....

I hope something was done for his daughter too.. poor kid!

To be honest, that doesn't sound like just drugs to me.

That would mean being on drugs non-stop for quite some time, in order to starve the guinea pig. It sounds too much like a mental disorder more than anything.

Maybe he was constantly high - drugs do strange things to you and make you paranoid (not speaking from experience, I'm bad enough after wine!).

I'm glad he's gone to jail - what a waste of space. People like that make me so mad - we work our backsides off to fund his disgusting habit as well.

How old is his daughter? I hope she wasn't living with him.

OMG what a nut case.
Why didn't the daughter do anything to help the piggie?

It is horrible but you can't blame the daughter she may have been abused too.

he may be one of those people that regularly use thinking it's perfectly safe whereas it's fairly well known to have the side-effect of making people paranoid.

Users can become disorientated and start to hallucinate and they may become angry, depressed or anxious after the initial feeling of well being wears off. One 27-year-old recreational user describes the down side for him as "getting the fear." He says: "I start to panic and think everyone's talking about me".

=/

I've never heard of that being a side-effect to . To my knowledge, most apprently terribly bad symptoms are simply anti-drug compaigning more than anything.

You'd have to be on more than to do that to an animal.

I've heard can induce schizophrenia... i know with that comes paranoia.

Killing it whilst on drugs is one thing... but starving it as well? not sure that can be drug related. A*****e

Did you see the news where someone had captured burglars on their cctv... they were stealing yorkie puppies and just throwing them into a dustbin bag >:( (if that wasn't bad enough, they only showed it on the news as a novelty because the puppies kept getting away from them!)

Two guinea pigs were stolen from an animal santuary nearby and the previous day two dogs were also stolen. I had an awful thought that they would be using the pigs to train them for doy fighting. It made me feel sick to my stomach that someone could harm something so helpless and adorable

People make me sick! Anyone that hurts an animal purposely should have exactly what they did to the animal done to them!
