I am currently finding it hard to find suitable dry food to feed my fussy 9 week old sows. They are currently liking a mix they have been eating since before i got them which I found out is lucerne chaff which they only get a tablespoon of now in the morning. Hay is a mix of Peter's Timothy with Rye and Oxbow's Western Timothy Hay and they get a tablespoon each in the morning and night of Oxbows Cavy Performance Young Guinea Oig Pellets which also have lucerne in. Am I feeding them too much calcium? Any suggestions about what other brands might be suitable? Sorry for long rant but really dont wanny make them sick.

Mine get unlimited Timothy Hay, it's normally the American Pet Diner brand, but having issues getting that. Waiting on a different brand to ship from the UK, so hopefully its okay quality! A small amount of Vetafarm Cavy Origins pellets (they just graze on them all day) and then a variety of fresh veg. Capsicum, carrot, lettuce mix (not iceberg), silverbeet and cucumber being the favourites.

My two have only just started eating hay and pellets just in the last four days after ONLY a month of trying. Mine love all those veg too. I cant get them to even try capsicum, they smell it and turn their cute uppity noses up at it and will only eat celery at lap time not in their cage lol.
