These are all over my lawn. Any ideas?

And how about these? Is this the same plant?

Oh and can they have this too? I'm not sure what it is, but it's really pretty. :)) Apologies for out of focus picture, couldn't retake because my camera ran out of power.

Thanks. :)

I haven't let them near it in case, but thanks! Will remove and wash hands after. Didn't realise it was so poisonous! :O

First one is fine its clover, pigs don't really eat them but bee's love them, they are safe. Please please please remove ragwort, make sure you get it all out. its very toxic, to everything, remember to wash hands, if you think your pig has eaten it take it to the vets. Do not know what second one is, we have it in our garden as well. Remove ragwort straight away.

only recognise the dreaded ragwort! we have it in our garden at the moment aswell. it's a pain to get rid of, and i'm worried now that there's more lurking under the rest of the garden :(

Oh gosh I'm so worried now. I've removed the one in the picture, but there's a little cluster of it next to my washing line (I don't put the piggies' runs there anyway), there's some wooden roots at the bottom and I can't seem to pull most of it out because it's so tough. Any ideas? :(

I would suggest digging them out with a trowel or spade, they will grow back and cutting them down with a lawn mower will make it deadlier. Ragwort is more deadly when its dead as animals are more likely to eat it. Make sure you haven't left any dead ragwort leaves, stem or flower that's dead lying on grass. Hopefully as you don't put piggies near it they wont get chance to get near it. Try googling ways to kill off ragwort. We get it in the garden all the time but keep removing it as dogs can get to it. the picture I included in my own post, pictures 2 and 4 is when it is a baby, so this is what ragwort will grow from and will need to be removed from roots asap. Best of luck x

ps constant cut grass where ragwort isn't will not normally grow. for example we get ragwort near our pond as its hard to cut there. Try googling some ideas for removable

Thanks, my mum says she will remove it. :)

I double checked to make sure I didn't leave any behind. I even wore disposable gloves when I pulled it up!

I'm glad you just said that about the Ragwort, I just showed my son the pic and he thinks we have it, not that our guinea's go out in the garden, but we have a dog, would it hurt him?

Yes, it will hurt any animal. Its unlikely he will eat it when its alive but more likely when its dead. Better to remove it to be safe than sorry. x

Ok thank you, I'll get my son to sort it out for me. I've told him to wear gloves and that it needs digging out, thanks again for the warning.
