Hey everyone!
I need some advice! Yesterday morning my Little guy Edward passed I am beyond upset and having trouble processing and coping with the loss. I miss him so much and I hate how quiet the house is but every time I think about him or look at pictures I start crying! It’s so hard without him. Am I being over dramatic? Anyway how did you guys cope and will this feeling never go away?

Hi and welcome

I am very sorry for your loss! You are welcome to post a tribute to Edward in our Rainbow Bridge if you feel that it would help you.
The section is there for anybody who would like to make use of it at any stage of the grieving process.

The loss of a beloved pet can hit you very hard indeed. Please give yourself time to digest it all; sadly there is no shortcut.
You have to grieve as much as you have loved, as each bond is unique. It doesn't count what species; it is the shared love that is relevant!
And you have obviously loved very deeply!

You may find the link below helpful. It explains how your grieving experience typically runs, where you can find help if you feel overwhelmed and like you a drowning in your emotions, and what you can do process your loss.
Talking is the best thing you can do; whenever you do it, you will feel that bit more comforted afterwards. That is the reason why we have included a link to a free UK pet bereavement helpline or ways how to find any comparable services in other parts of the world in the guide.

Thank you so much for the kind words. It means a lot to me to know there are other people out there who care! I will definitely post something on the rainbow bridge section for him. Thanks again!

Hi and welcome.
So sorry for the loss of Edward, losing a piggy can hit you very hard. I have a memory box for each of my piggies with photo's,a snippet of their fur and a paw print. I also write down memories, even little things so I don't forget.
Please take things slowly, it will get better.
Sending you hugs.xx

So sorry for your loss

It doesn't get better because you have not got anything around anymore !

Sorry for your loss. There's been some great advice posted above. I always find it extremely hard dealing with the loss of a pet and torture myself a lot about if/how anything could have been different. It's awful, but from personal experience it does get easier with time, but of course you still miss them greatly! Run free Edward ❤

Welcome to the forum and so sorry for the loss of Edward.
Grief is hard - we hurt because we love.
Grief does take time to work out, the rawness eases but the rest of the grieving process can’t be rushed.
We do understand the grief felt by the loss of a piggy so as well as all the excellent advice given already you are welcome to keep posting here.
We are here to support you

Hello and welcome
I’m so sorry that you lost Edward, sending you hugs at this most difficult time. Try and remember that he had a wonderful life with you and he knew you loved him dearly x

I'm so sorry. Grief is a normal reaction to losing a loved one. You are not being over-dramatic- you feel how you feel, your feelings are valid, Edward was a part of your family and of course you are sad that he is gone! Let yourself cry when you need to. I've had a lot of little pets over the years and I still grieve when they pass. Some losses have been harder to come to terms with than others, but it's never easy. One thing that helps me is to do something in memory of them... I have a photo wall of pets that have passed, so I will add their picture. It's hard to see at times, but it also helps me to remember them and to honor that memory. ((HUGS)) and wishing you peace at a difficult time.
