What Are You Getting Your Piggies For Christmas?

I'm struggling with what to buy two guinea pigs for christmas that already have EVERYTHING!

They have no more space in their cages for anymore beds or tunnels and they have a lot of bags of treats already (I rarely give them treats).

I have ordered oxbow timothy hay treats with added bell pepper and oxbow timothy twists from the USA but I don't know whether they're going to arrive in time for christmas :no:

Any ideas?

Love that Christmas tree deco :D I've got Joe a hay wreath from work, and am planning on ordering a cosy for him too... snuggle-sack or cuddle-cup? I don't know yet :D (Pssst, don't tell Joe, these are surprises! :shh:)
 
You know, I haven't yet thought about it! We were going to get them some fleece linings for their new cage, but due to the current fungal outbrek, we're sticking with disposable bedding until it's all cleared up!

I might get them some more of those spone chew things. Poglet and Syllabub got one last year and they really lked it. ^_^ Oh, and carrots! Guinea pigs always get carrots on Christmas Eve!
 
@Malice aw of course carrots are a must on Christmas Eve. What are the chew things that you said you might get them? I want some ideas for my boys

where did you get those little houses from? they look cute ..
 
@artcasper we got them from pets at home but they come with a seagrass base too, but I cut the base out because they were weeing and pooping in it. I don't think having the base is a good idea, can imagine it would get very mucky
 
I was going to get my pig some new fleece and a soft bed but Joann cancelled my order just after they sent an e-mail saying it was shipped :/. Luckily I can still do the soft bed idea.
 
I got them a new fleece for the run, a new candy cane pigloo, some fleece liner pads and some new vetbed to put in their hidie houses. Not decorated their cage for xmas yet, but I ended up having to use their xmas fleece and pigloo early, because they had been messy little piggies and all their current stuff needed washing at once! :D

I added brand new fleece in Olaf and Snap's cage! Also, I'm planning on extending their cage, adding some fun crinkly tunnels, and maybe even getting them a new FRIEND! :love::yahoo: Not sure yet or what will be in time for Christmas but they are definitely getting something. I also made them one of those homemade toys to put hay in that you use one of the cardboard paper towel rolls for :nod: (they love it, I added the hay in last night and this morning all of the hay was gone out of it)
 
I bought some Oxbow treats the other day... I also like to try to get one costume pic a year, so yesterday I picked up a Christmas tree dress for one of them to wear for a Christmas pic. They only have to wear it for long enough to get a picture and then my daughter puts them on her stuffed animals, but man do I get cute costume pics every year!
 
I will be honest, my piggies rarely get christmas presents. They will however get extra veg and it will be christmas stuff so sprouts, parsnips and carrots lol

I bought a Sqube (soft box-like bed). One between two pairs so I am being stingy, but I will wait till it arrives before splashing out for another one :)

I will! I'm going to go look at some guinea pigs today. Against what my parents want - they say two guinea pigs is enough and I think that is totally wrong haha :D

Well, that's a frustrating situation for you! :)
Perhaps they are thinking of room or finances if they need a vet? May be practical issues? x

Nope that's not it they just think three of any one kind of pet is too many or something :no: haha but I think I can convince them! I'm going to be expanding the cage and everything so it won't be a problem. I have a midwests cage so I'm getting another one to connect and double it up. Plus I have a lot of pets but I work a lot of hours and I can support them :nod:

tee hee, parents can be a little quirky at times :) I know, I am one!
Sounds like you have a lovely house-hold though, and I think your piggies will feel like they're in piggy-heaven soon! They sound rather spoiled :)

Hahaha but that's okay, I'm sure it'll be okay! They are spoiled, I love to spoil them :nod:

I was thinking of getting mine one of those carrot-topped houses - they absolutely love destroying stuff so that could be a winner! I could do with some more pig beds (cuddle cups) so they don't fight over the one they have, but I might have left it a bit late...
