What Bedding To Use For After Surgery

this Monday I'm getting my boar dressed and I was wondering if I can use puppy pads till it heals

Puppy pads are fine to use post neutering. They are good because you can see what's being produced wee and poo wise and whether there is any fresh blood. After a day or so you can add fleece but just keep changing it regularly to help prevent infection. Are you keeping him indoors in the warm?

we are keeping him in doors till the summer

I like to use squares of vet bed and change them often with pads underneath. Post op they tend to be a bit spaced out and sit in one place and so can end up sitting in a puddle of wee but vet bed seems to remain dry on top

i use white green backed vet bed with puppy pads underneath so can observe any oozing from wounds.

just a piece to cover some of cage ebay/amazon sell cheap off cuts to place in cage.if you feel more comfortable using just puppy pads thats fine.
