Hi all:) hope the weather is beautiful where you are! I was thinking of getting some pots and trying to grow my own veg....

However, I'm certainly no gardener!

Sooo.. What could I grow in pots, which is super easy to do... I can't kill easily and will grow quickly?!?!

They can have mint, and I'm growing it. I'm also pot growing coriander, parsley, dill, chamomile and dandelions. In my experience, the key to successful plant keeping is having suitable substrate/soil. The one I get is for organic vegetables (as opposed to potted flowers), and has no added nitrates or phosphates (which are commonly used to enrich substrates that are not meant to be used for growing food). A few years ago, the substrate I purchased was infested with some kind of tiny flies, and their larvae ate the roots of my herbs and caused rot; since then, I avoid purchasing the cheapest substrate available and it's been fine.

I also agree with VickyA that cherry tomatoes are super easy to grow in pots and look pretty. The smell of tomato leaves also repels mosquitoes, so it's a win-win situation.
