All 5 of my piggies have white wee is this normal? Is it something I am giving them in their diet? They have lettuce, cucumber, spinach, rocket, kale, pepper, they tried parsnip for the first time today and carrots all in varying proportions and not everything everyday but a selection from the above everyday. They have pellets and they always have access to hay so they can have this when they want and of course they can have water which is freely available from one of those non-drip bottles that drips!

I'm learning I think that white urine is due to too much calcium in the diet. I know that kale and spinach are high in calcium so I only give once or twice a week. Hope that helps abit!

Guinea Lynx :: What's Normal?

It's surprising that white pee is normal, but it is.

If there's no sign of gritty deposits and they're not squeaking when peeing then I wouldn't worry too much.

But great job for checking up on them and noticing. Being a good piggy slave means being eagle eyed sometimes!

White wee is perfectly normal for Guinea Pigs - it's how they excrete excess calcium from their bodies. I agree it is a good idea to limit high calcium foods . I would only get concerned if calcium deposits on bedding look gritty.
