George one of my boys has a spot on his back and today it burst and green oooo came out of it,(at the vets tommorrow) and was wondering if anyone can throw some light on it, its like a crater that's been left behind

so do you recken it could be an abscess

Could most likely be an abscess yes, hmm I think a picture could help us have a better look.

And i'm sure the vet will tell you lol good luck ;)

Abscess for sure! He'll need antibiotics but now its burst hopefully the infection is on its way out.

Bathe it with salt water and keep it clean until you can get him to the vets tomorrow.

Oh god not another guinea with an abscess. Poor little fellow. Let us know how the trip to the vet goes. :)

But how do they come about he hasn't been bitten or caught himself on anything

have been to vet, was an abbcess but he said its clean and healing well, he gave him an injection and that was it :) so George is well on the way to getting better

POOR GEORGE :( sounds like an abcess, but don't take my word for it, not an expert on these things 98)

Brilliant news piggybaker, I am sure he will be 100% fit in no time. Pleased to here he doesn't need any more treatment. Keep us updated. O0 Bloody abscess's. :tickedoff:
