Welcome to the forum, I’m sorry I have no idea what it is, someone will come along soon I’m sure who will know x

It could be something as simple as a fungal infection (my hedgehogs were prone to fungal problems along the ear edges that looked like that), but it definitely warrants a vet check for treatment and a proper diagnosis.

Posted a few days ago about my guinea pigs ear took him to the vets. The edge of his ear the rough bits fell of when he touch it and says he doesn’t know what it is but not to worry if it get worse to come back it could be cancer does it sound like it could be? but inside his ear his fine and this has me so worried because theres no bumps and also told me to soak his ears in warm seat salt is that normal and do his ears look better? The colour is still the same it’s just the flash

I really doubt cancer, but I'm no expert, are you seeing a vet that knows alot about guinea pigs and sees them often?just saying, if your using a cat and dog kind of vet, i wouldnt waste your time, effort and money

If the vet thinks it could be cancer shouldnt they have taken a little skin biopsy to send to a lab? I know white cats get lots of skin cancer on their ears, my mother in law had a whole family of white farm cats who had their cancerous ears trimmed down or removed, so there should be lab tests available?

Thanks I don’t think it is but still worried and I’m not sure no way to tell I just go to my regular vet and they give me someone who has time so I’m not sure where to go that specialises in small animals

Look on the forum list of vets, if not google some vets nearest to you. Youll never look back once you see a vet that can do the job the receptionist booked you in for. 🤐#*#! 👍.

Sorry i hate when vet practices take on work they cant do, i wouldnt call a plumber to do my electrics

The warm sea salt is mostly for disinfection. We can't really help you as we haven't seen a growth like this before in a decade on this forum so we have no comparison with any similar cases or their treatment unfortunately. :(

You can always see another vet. It is also worth keeping in mind that growths can be both benign and malign; it rather looks like the first kind to me as much as I can anything. Please do not panic!
