I was thinking...Last night, as I lay in my bed, watching my boys run about.
I do this most nights. Sit for about an hour, watching them being all cute, cutely eating hay, cutely drinking water, cutely eating nuggest and just all around being cute!

It's only been just over a year since I first had my boys.
My life has been nothing but sunshine since I got them. On bad days, just coming home to them makes me smile.
A cuddle with them instantly cheers me up. I greet them with a chin rub and a ear scratch every morning. Give them fresh water and veggies.
Clean their litter trays around mid-day.
Then give them a snuggle!

And I thought to myself last night...What did I do BEFORE I had them?
What did I do instead of cleaning them out, getting them veggies or fussing over them?
I must have been bored!
I don't remember what I did :))

I simply can't imagine or remember my life without those furry little bundles of mayhem to love.

It's very strange.
I was wondering if anyone else felt the same...Thought the same or if you can even remember a time when you didn't have such little sweeties to take care of?

Awwww, how sweet that you love your piggies so much :) I have had rabbits for 25 years, rats for 19 years and piggies for 6 years. I cannot imagine a time when I didn't have pets.

I can't remember what I did before piggies.. am guessing I had a functional relationship, some spare cash and some spare time! :))

Life now revolves around the rescue and the pigs coming and goings... wouldn't have it any other way - not sure boyfriend would necessarily agree! He thinks they get more attention that he does rolleyes

i have no idea what i did before i got my boys my first thoughts in the morning is coming down to get their breakfast (all done before i even get my coffee) :)p then after breakfast its fill the hay then pick up poo :)p
coming home from work is great as always get a warm welcome then its tea time yes before i even start my tea:)p
i have lost hours just looking at them, talking to my babies & cuddles :)p

my life must've been so boring before i got my 5 boys :)p:)p

Hmm.. You know, I can't remember. I was 8 then so I must of just begged my mum for a guinea pig :))

Funny you should start this thread, I think this to myself on occasion. I have two main parts to my day: the pigs, and the twins. Sure the twins keep me busy enough just by themselves, but there is so much to do with the pigs day to day. Aside from the physical care of them - feeding, cleaning, floor time, cuddles, medical care, washing fleeces etc. - I spend a lot of time doing things for the CCT/BAR, the forum, the Helpline, reading and studying all things piggie.

And I've given up a lot of my things so I can provide more for more pigs - seriously, I have a big room and all that is mine in there are my clothes and chest of drawers, bed, and bookshelves. Honestly, that's it, the rest is taken over by piggies! :))

Think I probably spent more time doing boring things like housework, shopping etc. I had the pigs and bunnies before my children were born so they've grown up knowing that mum spends hours each day with the animals - husband too accepts it - I think:))

Did run out of human food yesterday though - had plenty of guinea food, hay, veg etc but just forgot to order human stuff :x Not to worry, Asda will be here any moment............................:))

Oh, and I vaguely remember something called holidays............................rolleyes

Daytime tv was a lot busier and more housework got done...

I used to do a lot more embroidery and crochet.

I think when I used to get home before I had the piggies, I used to make tea and sit down all night, probably with a glass of wine most nights! but now I get home, sort all the animals out, make tea, clean the kitchen, then I probably sit down for an hour before bed!

Gosh...I remember housework!

seems so long since I did anything other than hoovering :)) And the only reason I remember that is because I end up dragging hay all through the house. :(|)

that's what a hoover is made for :)p:)p

Sat online and watched TV - Much like I do now only I post on here as well :(|) I have a very boring life!

Like Momma Piggy, we've only had our girls a year (a year this week in fact) and I now can't imagine my life without them in it.

I feed them before I go to work and again as soon as I walk in the door, evening are spent watching their antics and talking back to their squeaks, moving by slowly and quietly when they're sleeping and trying to sneak into the kitchen to make a coffee without them hearing the fridge door (never happens though! :)) )

We've had two patios laid in the garden and a shed is being delivered tomorrow to house them when they go outside for the Summer months. I'm pretty sure I had more money before we had our girls, but just spent it on rubbish, rather than fleeces, cosies, nice fresh salads and gardening equipment :))

Life was pretty dull before piggies I think!

same here and the washerrolleyesrolleyesrolleyesrolleyesrolleyes

I'm lucky! I've never had to defluff the washer :(|)

Unclogging the hoover...I do that often. I always get yelled at for clogging it up and then just leaving it.
I never seem to notice. :))

I've never had to de-hay the washing machine but my old vacuum didn't stand a chance of picking up the hay so I bought a Dyson - OH no longer moans about megazorb and hay now!:))

I can't remember life before piggies even though it has only been 13 months since we've had them. Now all I do is piggie related! Love them all to bits

I think I probably cleaned less... I find myself cleaning up after the pigs all the time... if it's not hay, it's poo... then I need to hoover, not too mention spending time with them.

MY room at present smells like a barn... they have basically the full room it's that small with my bed in a corner! Not too mention there mountains of hay, I am looking for a solution to make my life easier and less mess, anyone any good tips about controlling hay.

Thats not even mentioning the cleaning of the actually pigs cage and washing of there cosies/fleece. Thankfully I haven't blocked the washer yet, so that has too be a good thing, and I sweep the carpet first before hoovering so that must help :))!

Ohwell they keep me busy and I do enjoy giving them a good chin tickle and a huggle... I forgot feeding they get fed, before me always infact they get more stuff than me too. If only they didn't leave half there fur on me rolleyes!

I agree!:) I am really not sure what I did before I got them!
