What disinfectants do you use?

Just out of interest really. What disinfectants do people use to clean there piggies and/or other animals out with?

I use Trigene animal health as it works out about 30p a bottle compared the stuff you can get in the shops for £2-£3 a bottle

We hve always used johnsons clean 'n' safe but have also now got some F10 disinfectant as Cookie had a fungal infection.

I use and always have used johnsons clean 'n' safe. It smells lovely and one bottle lasts me quite a while.

Its a fab cleaner and kills lots and it works out dirt cheap too

I usually use F10

I'm currently working my way through a sample bottle of something called Anigene, that the rep was giving out at work. I've got a 100ml bottle and it says to dilute it down to 1:100, so it'll last a while! I use Trigene (note - now called Anigene Amanda - the same stuff), i sware by the stuff to be honest. I grew up in the veterinary practice with this stuff and still use it today.

Expensive stuff because i buy it in a 5 Litre bottle which is around £50-60, but as you said not too bad in the long run. Only need 5ml for a 500ml spray bottle. I make then up myself.

Same product or replaced by? I was told trigene was discontinued. This stuff smells way better

Johnsons clean n safe. I've always used it and it does the job. Can't say fairer than that!

Medichem was taken over and renamed Medimark. They have just renamed the product, its the same stuff as trigene (and i think changed the fragrance a little). Have a read as its been retested etc:

I use F10 because it's good for so many different species and I do keep a large variety of pets as well as foster animals. Works well here so I stay with it!

Hmm interesting. What I have is the anigene, so that's all good, but I think what we're using at work currently is the anistel stuff...

I started with some of the Johnsons stuff, which I am just using up.

I then got F10 & Trigene when we had fungal, I'm using the Trigene (lemon one smells lovely) on a regular basis and used the F10 for a deep clean while dealing with the fungal and plan to use it probably when I move the outdoor and indoors for deep cleans

Since the pigs live in my bedroom I use Supreme Keep it Clean as they are scented and help keep nasty smells under control
