When I had guineas I did lots of research and the opinion seemed to be don't feed muesli they get picky, feed nuggets. So I fed Burgess excel and everyone ate it. Well Mabel, Maurice Maisie, Meg ate it anyway, but then along came Matilda. She ate it to start with, but seemed to get bored anyway. So I bought her Gertie Guinea. She ate all of it to start with, but then about 3 months ago started to get picky, (She is 19 months by the way) so I decided to swap her back to Burgess Excel pellets. She will not eat it. She throws her dish around, tipping the pellets onto the floor. She has lost some weight about 15gms, she is now 976, but she has never been big.

Do I give in and buy her Gertie or some other better muesli, or do I stick her out? Not sure which Burgess pellets we have, they are in the yellow bag.

Maybe try her with a different flavour burgess excel? I've had mine on plain, blackcurrent and mint.

I'd check if the burgess pellets your using at the moment kidney shape plain pellets. If so I think quite a few people have trouble getting their pigs to eat them. Mine are on these at the moment after changing over from a muesli like gerty but my boars aren't keen. You can get burgess blackcurrant + oregano pellets which are supposed to be much more popular with the piggies... I've just ordered some online to try as not many pet shops sell them.

I use the black currant and oregano pellets....and the piggles scoff them!
