Never apologise for asking questions :) boar dating is the best bet as long as you don't have a specific new piggy in mind. You can hopefully drop off your piggy at the rescue and they will try and bond him, if the first one isn't working they will try another etc and hopefully he will get along with someone

How big would you say an enclosure should be and what brands would you recommend

This guide lays out the minimum requirements for cage size in the UK dependent on number of piggies. Basically go as big as you can as the piggies will really appreciate any additional space. When mine were indoors they originally had a ferplast cage and then a large c&c. Now they are outdoors they have the chartwell 6ft but in future I would go for something more solidly built all the way round though my hutch is years old and doing really well. I still have a ferplast cage in case of illness and needed to separate etc but it's in the loft. Seems well made though and the price was excellent
