It has been about 9 moths since Momo passed away...I can't help but feel it has taken a toll on McMac :( He just seems quite lonely with no one to play with and eat with.
He is eating and is healthy...but just seems lonely...

What would be best? I don't think any rescues nearby have potential pigs. and the one that does doesn't seem to know what they are doing. I went looking once before and they said they would spay a female for me....

Would you consider going a bit further? Maybe you could let everyone know the maximum distance you'd travel and someone may be able to suggest a rescue who does boar dating within that distance. So sorry McMac is lonely, it's very sad when they're like that and so lovely if they can go dating and find themselves a little friend to give them a new lease of life. x

Is it possible to take a bus trip to suzy? (or atleast get fairly close) Ive managed to get from swindon to all sorts of places cheaply by bus or coach. I find as long as the piggies have a safe sheltered carrier the ride doesnt bother them too much. :)

Honestly, I think if you feel he is lonely you should be looking at all possible options to find him a friend :)

If you can travel, it'd open your options up a lot; dating is certainly the best way to do it IMO.

Well my boyfriend has a car now. He is usually more then happy to take me places if I help with some petrol money.

Anyone know of anywhere in Devon or further that has pigs for dating?

In the time you don't have a second pig, spend as much time with the piggie as you can. I am in the same situation, piggie hunting. Good luck. I still need to convince my parents as I am a young piggie mamma and the local rescue still has NO match for my piggie.

Something I've found as well is ther longer piggys are without company the less manners they have and pairings are more difficult. There is a rescue that spays sows but there is a waiting list and it would be a fair drive. She does piggy train if * pass your home check though.

Norman gormans !
They're great, and just have had some babies born who I may be trying to bond with my piggies they're not far just in Cornwall (:

Molly has a website, Norman Gorman guinea pig sanctuary, she's in Tideford just outside of saltash

Ohhh yeah haven't you been fostering and stuff. Where abouts would I find him? Or get hold of him

The woman you need to get in touch with is Molly.
I didn't do fostering for her, but i helped when i had to take an elderly gentleman's guinea pigs to the rescue for her as he had health problems, she was so understanding and just lovely !
