What do you do with the paper/nasty hay in your litterbox?

So normally I dump it over the hill ( I live up in the middle of no where no neighbors lol ) and then spray it out with the water hose. But its cold out and it sucks having to do it that way lol. Its an actual cat litter box so its a good size one to clean andddd even when i do empty it I have to spray it out cause of the small bits paper and hay sticking to the bottom plus the pee and obviously can't wash that nasty stuff down the drain lol so was curious what you all do?

I dont use litter trays for my piggies, but I do for my rabbits. I empty the trays into my garden waste bin (my council take small animal waste) and then swill the tray with water in the garden and then wipe it down with disinfectant and dry it.

All the waste goes into the compost bins or the allotment. Sadly Cornwall Council will not let you recycle in the green bin waste 🤨

I put my waste in a bag to take to a friend that uses it on the allotment. I swill out the tray with hot water and a rubber brush and fling it out the back door.

When I clean my pig's cage I typically put poops/hay in grocery bags and then throw them in the garbage outside. When I shake off my fleece I do it outside in my backyard, any dirty hay and/or poop can stay out there!
