Apart from pigs of course. ;)

Do they HAVE to have something with a roof to hide in because I had one in but Ludo never came out and I didn't think it was healthy him laying in his wee all the time, I have just had to bath him again before and the little rascal jumped out of the sink and shook his fur drenching me! rolleyes

So is it ok to just have their armchairs and a bed?

Roger has a corner litter tray, a chube, 2 log bridges, an armchair, willow ball and a card boardbox.

I prefer to have hidies with both an enterance and exit i.e. the log bridge things, I think it's nice for them if something really startles them to zoom into and peak out of.

mine have a hay tray each with a cover over (well really they are little stools but they work well) they have their cozy(which they use as a cushion!) a fleece to snuggle into and a fleece to hide behind
they did have a big yello house but i took it out as it took up too much room and Mac hid in it too much.they still have a their hay trays and fleece tent to hide in if needs must

Thank you for your replies. Funny you should mention the extra fleece, I have just scrunched one up in their play pen and Hoggle was straight in there!

They do have a chube actually so I will put that in too. :)

They are talking to each other now, wonder what they are saying! :))

Mine don't have any roofs as such but a quarter of the cage has fleece pegged over the top and down the sides for their bedroom and also some fleece pegged to one side in the main part of the cage so they can hide behind it when I clump past :(|)

This is the cage Matilda & Lady Penelope share. I alternate their toys and they have different cuddle cups and tunnels that I put in.

That looks fab hun I particulary love the pink and white polkadot fleece where did you get it?:(|)

I think it is natural for them to hide and would never make a piggy sit out in the open just so i can see them, mine have 4 or 5 houses between them to share although jive chooses to sleep in the open the girls like to sleep in houses! They are prey animals and will feel safer hiding to sleep

Mine have;

C&C cage with Mabelle, Sasha, Penelope, Audrey, Mr Mushnik in... Two crash pads from Piggy Palace, two kitten litter trays, hay rack, hay ball thing that hangs down, little toys from P@H (plastic ball things with bells in and one you can put treats in) - They did have a wooden hut that I bought when it was just Mabelle and Sasha, but now when they get spooked they ALL run into it at the same time and trample on each other and I hear horrible squeaks, so I took it out.

Rabbit 120 with Seymour in... One Christmas pud house, cuddle beaver toy, kitten litter tray, hay ball. Sometimes I put the chube in, sometimes not.

The big group don't have anything to hide in as such, the crashpads are still open. They just run behind them when they want to hide. The Christmas pud house is more of a hidey, it has a big hole in the front but because it is dark brown, it is dark inside. Seymour also moves it foward a couple of inches and hides behind it.

Lets see, Kwan and Yin have a four level cage so there is a lot of space to hide under the ramps. They have a corner room I got them for their toilet but they never use it and rarely go inside. They have a cat ball they play with and a wooden log I bought at the pet shop made for them to gnaw on. I also keep a calcium brick....I was surprised to see they really do take a nip from it every so often.

They now prefer to stay outside their cage and they love to jump on any towels or clothes left on the floor.

My girls have a couple of places to hide if they want. They have one of the smaller pigloos with vet bed inside, a Snak-Shak log thingy which they use as a tunnel, a grass-house and willow logs bent into a brige. Their cage came with a built in 'shelf' which has a piece of fleece hung loosly underneath it so they can snuggle under it too.

Their favouite place seems to be in their hay though rolleyes they have a corner litter tray filled twice a day and seem to take turns climbing in it!
