I like how if I bring them in the house for a bit of bonding time I can open the back door and they jump out , run to the garage and jump straight in :)

They are living in the house at the moment because its too cold and when I let them have free range time if I tp the cage and say home they will run back and jump into the cage (well cookie doesrolleyes)

I also like that when I put their veggies in they always both go to the same peice , even though theres loads to choose from :))

Its great reading about all of your piggies , they all sound so intelligent drool8)

I love how, after constructing a new platform in "pigland", complete with ramp, neither Biscuit nor Caramel walk up the ramp... Both prefer to perform a cat-like leap on to the ledge!

I love how Biscuit is the most curious animal I've ever met, despite being constantly ill - he'll jump anywhere and check everything out. I think he's part squirrel.

I think Caramel is the most vocal/musical pig in the world. He loves music but he also loves any noise and will purr or popcorn at almost anything :)

Awwww - lovely stories! I have enjoyed reading them all!

I love the way Patches' ears wiggle when he is furiously wheeking for a snack - this happens every time we open the fridge door and every time my hubby gets up from the sofa lol! No wonder he is so chunky as neither if us can resist getting hima little something when he starts!

I love Scruff 1980's fringe!

I love how when I come in the front door/close the bedroom door/get off the sofa or even walk the wheeking begins!

I love when the fridge door opens two little faces appear at the door run across the living room and wait at my feet in the kitchen. I then walk past them with their veggies back to the "guinea pig room" and they run behind me!

I love how my 3 piggies always seem happy to see me, I can have the worst day in the world but they always make me feel so much happier. They're my life line, without them I don't know how I'd cope, in a way they're my reason for living. I love them so much x)

Does this come with time?

I know that they have learned the sound of the fridge door.
But we live in a 800 square foot apartment - so they always see us ...
but in the morning when we come out of the bedroom and into the living room - you would think they would make that noise then.

Mind you we just got them in December - but ?
How old - or how long do you have to have them before they start to love you :P

I got Bradley and Barney in October 2009 and then Rodney in October 2010. I think they've learnt that seeing me usually means food! Though I like to think they actually love my company lol.

LOL - I would hope they love me - They've been an investment :P

Mine associate me with - "omg she wants to pick us up to hold us!" *runs into hut "please mommy don't find me in here"

- 3 minutes after finally getting one into my loving arms - they start to coo and realize that being pet is lovely :D

I love how my two youngsters Frazzle and Annie are popcorning machines, I'd seen Terry popcorn a couple times (but bit of a feeble attempt tbh) but these guys can jump about a foot in the air. Frazzle popcorns from a stroke on the head which makes me smile, oh and when I talk to him like a baby ("My frazzy wazzy woo woos") and then Annie just goes mad when she's in the run..
I love the way Doris has become so relaxed since living indoors, she just flops out in the litter tray, and she's started wheeking for food, and coming to say hello (which she would never do before! she'd just hide).
Then Terry.. well he's amazing in every single way :))

Every time my piggies crawl into my lap to be petted I absolutely melt. I had no idea what to expect from the affection department when I got them. I am amazed that they are so interactive and affectionate.

I am also amazed that they are so attuned to food cues. Plastic bags and the refrigerator door opening set them off. Also, DH cuts up their veggies, so they associate him with treats. They rarely beg from me. After all, all I do is feed them hay and pellets most of the time.

My heavily pregnant Boofle whom Ive had 2 weeks tomorrow loves it when I sweep her cage out on a daily basis. She gets in the way constantly, sits in the dustpan. And when i put my head in her cage for a chat she comes up and snuffles around my face. Shes adorable and I just love her.

What a lovely thread!

Well, so many things but...

I love it how when I call 'Dinner, breaky poos' they know it's feeding time.

I love it when fluffy, having recently trained them all to beg for food, will stand up and often fall over backwards even though the food is in their bowl (they only have to beg for leaves in the evening to keep them fit! lol)

I love the eldest 'Oiky' when she eats something too big for her mouth as she looks like she has toffee stuck in her teeth.
I also love it when she gets in a real crabby mood and nips me but then realises what she's done and tries to 'lick' it better.

I love it the most when they come in at night for floor time and they popcorn everywhere. That, it has to be said, it the happiest sight to see :)) x)

Mine don't have any amazing skills or anything but what I enjoy about my Guinea Gilbert is when he's in his pigloo. What he does is he moves around the cage with it moving along on top of him. He sort of jumps up a bit to make the pigloo move along with him.
I think he thinks hes a tortoise. xD

After a few months he also finally figured out how to climb up the ramp too. He couldn't figure out how to do it before. He finally figured it out yesterday. I was so proud of him.

My other guinea pig Ludwig tends to like jumping from the top level to the bottom one. It's quite funny but I do worry about him. He does it as a game.
