Just found these on ebay :-http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30-Litre-30L-Recycle-Bin-Plastic-Storage-Bin-With-Blue-Lid-Pet-Food-Container-/190882413996?pt=UK_Home_Garden_LivingRoom_MagazineRacks_SR&hash=item2c717a7dac#ht_1681wt_1152

Has anybody used these? They're only £11.99 inc. postage

I use these:

http://direct.asda.com/ASDA-Clear-11L-Storage-Box-and-Lid/001498623,default,pd.html

They fit in small spaces but I can fit about two bags of food in one box. Really good quality for not much money.

Thanks, we've been keeping in boxes but you have to keep lifting them off to get to the other ones. With the types I've put the links to above you can access the food from any of the 3 boxes that are stacked without lifting. We have 2 types of guinea pig food plus Readi-Grass.

The one listed on my first post on this thread is from Wallmart so you'd have thought Asda would be the place to get them in the UK.

i used to have one the same as the first one you posted and i got it from wilkos. if you look for recycling supplies, they usually have those type aswell

Thanks, I'll do a search. The ebay one I listed looks quite good & is in 3 different colours.

I keep my fresh in the fridge and the dried in a 30lt swing bin.

My ex got a small storage bin from P@H for the dog food, but it wasn't big enough so I washed it out and now use it for piggie food. It can probably hold about 5kg, I should think :)

I have something similar that takes a 3kg bag. It is well sealed, has a carry handle and keeps food nice and fresh. Just remember with storing larger quantities that the Vitamin C content degrades over time so the less you have open, sitting for a long time the better. Degu_rock you evidently have no problem getting through food in good time in your house!
