I was looking at the local free ads and noticed this I am concerned as they are near me and they dont seem to have much knowledge at all of piggies and the pics dont look that good and she only breeds once a year for pets to keep herself but is selling them??

What do you think?

Just noticed on her guest book a comment on chinchillas, rabbits and a horse that she has had previously one thinks ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

She doesnt have any breed or colour knowledge, but ive seen a lot worse :)

Thats what I thought lol and she is only around the corner from me I think I may put a comment on her guest book.

I've seen worse too, Cucumber has vit C in though? I know it does but not as much as other veggies. Seems to be doing the right thing with the housing.

It says they are cleaned out twice in summer and once in winter. Think it should read twice and once a week at least.

Dont think anyone will read this and think it means only twice and once across the whole summer and winter. Just think if you are going to give info to others it should always read correctly where no one can take things wrong. :)

Dazie maybe if they are near you, you could contact them an offer a bit of advice on their wording. It does seem a bit strange.

Maybe it is a typo if pigs are only cleaned out three times a year the poor little must stink to high heaven! :(

It can't be right that, surely not?

Nah, they obv mean a week, I expect I have lots of mistakes like that on my website too ;D :-X

She breeds yet has only 3 sows and one little boar and wants to rescue too ? 98)

God knows how many times she has actually bred them as she dont say when she started breeding them ?

Did you read this in her guestbook...
Betsy: Hello dear. Nice to see someone with a real love for animals taking on unwanted pets. Shame when people do this just for money tho, dont you agree. However, good on you, hope this venture lasts longer than the chinchilla's, rabbits and horse ?

Now I think she should be avoided!

Once again someone who just cant make the connection with their breeding and the huge number in rescue ............ does my flippin head in sometimes :(

In my experience rescues don't breed and breeders don't rescue ................. the two are worlds apart.

That SCREAMS sarcasm to me, what about you? Basically saying they take on unwanted pets to make money out of them!

I read all that in her guestbook, seems like from what the author wrote it was not the 1st time this person took on a project but had failed 3 times before, should she try it again just with a different species of animal?

I think this lady would be better trying to raise money (no matter how small) for a local established animal sanctuary.

Sorry but I'm going to disagree with you there. Up until 6 months ago we bred to show and did the rescue.

None of the rescues were ever used for breeding and went to strictly pet homes only.

However we are now just concentrating on the rescue with some holiday boarding to help with the rescue costs. We no longer breed or show.

Ahhh well thats different for showing etc but i doubt it that she shows ? Anyway id like to show and rescue too one day O0
