So - just curious how much everyone’s boy pigs weigh?

I have a bit of a chunky lad & i’m curious what everyone else’s fellas weigh... 😳

There’s no set weight for piggies. You use the heft to gauge whether their weight is ok or not.

My boys are 22 months and last weighed in at 1.4 and 1.3kg

Some pigs are bigger than others. Just like we humans have different build and weight.

Spike 1228
Peanut 1092
Rusty 1301
Caspian 1009
Red 1085
Baby Brillo 972 and counting!

This mornings weights (Friday weigh day) give or take a wee!

Curtis - 1.3kg
Rufus - 988g

Both my boys are the same age (4 years old). Rufus has just been through a major trauma and operation so is putting his weight back on currently but fluctuated between 1.4kg-1.6kg at his biggest. Both my boars are very long and "big boned".

Tom - 16 months - 1.4kg He's always been a big lad right from a baby
Romeo - 8 months 1.1kg

Theo weighs 1160g he's very short and chunky, and Ollie weighs 1070g he's longer and slimmer. Both are about a year old and probably have some more weight to gain!

Mine always seems to be 1343 grams, unless the scales are broken!

These were the dates 8 days ago I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to give them their weekly check. I think it'll be the 10 day check this time! I know I'm a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad piggy slave but you can only fit so much into a day!

Dennis is gaining weight nicely since I separated my herd he has gone from a weight of 927g (his lowest in over a year) to 959g.

My girls have always weighed more than my boys.
Our biggest pig ever was Oreo (female) who topped the scales at 1.34 kg.

Wow big lad! What breed is he? Iggy is 1031g atm, he’s a small boy packed full of arrogance and self importance! :))

How do the ribs feel? If they feel a bit padded then he may need a diet, if not he’s likely fine! Pigs that are a bit chunky also struggle to clean themselves or eat their poo so it might be worth seeing if it’s an issue if you’re worried!

I’ll have a feel - he has a lot of hair! He’s a long haired abasynian. He lives with his brother who is smaller, but I always make sure they’re both out eating & no one is blocking anyone else. He is just bigger! Both my boys are quite lazy, even if I put them in the garden they just sit & eat grass!

Yea it’s difficult! Tonks is an aby and she’s my biggest pig at 1163g. Luckily she’s not too difficult to check as her hair isn’t too long. She’s lazy too :)) 3/5 of mine have been lazy just like that aha only 2 being active!

Mine are still babies. Oreo is 8 months and 880g. Shoyu is 7 months, 801g.

I have 5 full grown boars ranging from petite little Chicco, who tops the scales at around 800g to Bobby who weighs in at about 1200g. (To be fair, a lot of Bobby is hair). As long as they're not skinny or fat - i.e. you can feel ribs but they're not boney, they're just fine.

He has an actual pot belly! I’ve always felt it’s best they’re a bit podgy as when they’re poorly they lose weight so fast but I am a bit paranoid he is gigantic now!

My biggest piggy is my girl peach (1289g) My male pig pip is roughly 16 months and weighs 1051g
