It might sound like an odd question but I was wondering what is considered to be 'healthy poo' in guinea pigs? Shape, colour... texture! As i know what rabbit poo is supposed to look like at it's best etc but not for pigs! It seems like a good thing to monitor for health dietary signs. At present my pigs poo are little pellets that vary from brown-dark brown, and are sometimes moist on the surface, though solid(this could be because they have also peed on them) :))
ETA: It would be amazing if there was some sort of photographic scale respresentation of different forms and meanings of poo.

Healthy poo should be oblong, lightish brown, and (once dried,) hard and compact. Funny question, but there you go! :) :)

Healthy poo.

Thanks for that Suzy, maybe someone can tell me why un-neutered male poo is longer than female and neutered male poo?

I have 3 girls and 1 neutered boy and their poo's are always the same as the smaller ones in the picture, but when i fostered an un-neutered boy his were longer, but i never really though anything of it. xx
