sorry I've been posting a lot of questions, I'm still new and have a few questions, gus my guinea pig is shy and timid and doesn't really like getting picked up, he's never bit me or made weird noises at me telling me to go away, but today when I was petting his side he started purring, it was a deep purr just a normal purr, is that good or is that bad?

There are three sounds that are rather similar, that range from dislike to dominance to pleasure. It depends on the body language and a bit of experience to interpret them - without an audio or video, it is impossible to for me to say which. However, the fact that he has started talking to you means that he is trusting you enough to communicate likes and dislikes. We don't have a sound gallery because a lot depends on accompanying body language and situational context.
