I've been using burgess excel nuggets, but they don't like the nuggets so much - they like the fancy flavour with the smaller pellets in the purple bag, but even then they don't eat much of it. So thinking of changing their dry food as I'm almost out anyway.

I don't give them any type of pellets. I had two piggies get tummy problems and I was told that the pellets were a big source of their troubles. Now they have none at all and they are just fine without them. I give them different types of hay to keep them happy as well as vegetables. :)

I use Burgess Excel Tasty Nuggets, I find them good to use, and they eat them. 70% of their diet it hay, 20% Veg, 10% Nuggets, they don't eat too much of nuggets. But if they aren't eating enough at all; you could weigh them. I wouldn't recommend Muesli- not good to have a selective piggie; they only eat the bits they like, meaning they won't get all the nutriants.

You could try a different brand of nuggets/pellets.

posted on the fb and everyones saying harringtons - so might give that a try and see if they eat more of it. they get veg daily and hay constantly as well.

I have fed my piggies for years on Burgess Excel nuggets. I buy 2 different types - the mint one and the blackcurrant and oregano one and mix them together for a bit of variety. They seem to love them. Friends who are vets advise against the muesli types of piggy foods.

The pigs get Burgess excel mint and the buns get Rabbit Royale muesli. I get empty bowls every day so I must be getting something right. ;)

Pets at home currently, moving to oxbow when I run out though as the Ca:P is more ideal for my aging piggies :D

I have used Pets at home nuggets and Burgess Excell Mint but they didn't go down as well as the Burgess Excel Blackcurrant and Oregano

I use burgess excel nuggets only because i know my piggies like them and don't want to waste money on something they might not like or eat.

mine get a mix of burgess and science selective at the moment....they love to mix it up. Science selective seems to be a big fave here at the moment.

Mine got this yesterday:

One Part Sunflowerseeds, 2 Parts Herbs, One Part of a given food and one Part of food with grain

It's a café in my house at the minute as I have recently acquired 4 new pigs. I have Pets at Home nuggets, Burgess Excel and Science Selective going on. They also get a small sprinkle of wagg museli as a treat twice a week over the top of their nuggets. I have ordered some squashed peas from zooplus which seem to be a favourite and they will get them once a week instead of one lot of museli, keeps it interesting for them. It's so funny as sometimes when I feed them (and its a none treat day) they stand there waiting for the muesli (which is gone in seconds as they only get a teenie bit) sometimes they can wait 5 mins before eating in protest lol!
