We went to the vets so that Colby could be checked over post op and whilst there I asked whether the vet nurse could cut Melody's hair as she was struggling with the heat. She is a Merino so her hair gets very long.

This is Mel

Well, just a tip for future note, when the vet nurse says 'how short do you want it?' maybe don't do what I did and say 'as short as you can' as this is what happened:

I now have a skinny pig with a furry head! Mel is seriously unimpressed

Poor Mel! She looks SERIOUSLY unimpressed! Thankfully, her hair should be growing back soon! Right now she'll probably feel a bit underdressed?

I hope that all is well with Colby?
 
OMG, I'm so sorry but I could not help bursting out laughing when I saw the after pic :))

Well at least Melody will feel cooler in the hot weather :)

Colby is fine and settling in well. I just wanted to get him registered with my vet and get her to check that all is well with his stitches. He still has one stitch left but its healed nicely.

He's having one of his manly days today where he keeps rumbling round the corral making sure the girls know he is in charge!
 
:)) Oh bless her, is it wrong that I'm laughing so much. :)):)) She looks so disgruntled and rightly so. It's as bad as a pudding bowl haircut. She's still beautiful and it will grow back soon- and she'll feel so much cooler. She must feel a bit draughty round her nethers though. :))

That last shot was one of her at the waterbottle but by the time my camera had taken the shot I ended up with that brilliant action shot of her diving showing her lovely odd feet!

So did I... rolleyes:x Its the look on her little face, so cute!
It should grow back quite quick, and at least she'll be lovely and cool now.:)

I hadn't realised how bare her bare behind was till I got that last shot! Its actually shorter than it looks in the photo. She is white and ginger and the white bits are showing bare skin. I am goiing to have to put factor 50 sun cream on her when she goes out on the grass next as she might get sunburnt!

:(|)LOL oh dear me I'm still laughing poor Mel, i don't think pebbles has forgiven me for cutting her nails never mind doing that to her (she is also a merino)
 
My Husband has a haircut like that, but don't worry Mel you're much better looking than him with your rather smart poodle cut! lol
 
I think she looks fabulous with that haircut! A few compliments (and veggies) and she will be wearing it with confidence!
